Our story

Recognising the growing demand for an independent boutique provider in Luxembourg, the founders of White Oak initiated the regulatory approval process with the CSSF in 2017.

Dr. Gabor MOCSKONYI

Partner, Managing Director

Gabor studied law in Hungary and graduated summa cum laude in 2006. He subsequently pursued specialized studies in European Union law, followed by trust law and finance in London and Luxembourg. He began his career at a law firm before joining a multi-family office in London, where he worked as a legal adviser from 2008 to 2011.

In 2011, Gabor relocated to Luxembourg and has since been working in the corporate and fund administration sector, supporting entrepreneurs, asset managers, and family offices. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, he has extensive expertise in corporate engineering, cross-border structuring, private equity and real estate transactions, as well as regulatory and governance matters.

As Managing Director, Gabor advises international clients on complex corporate and investment structures and oversees the delivery of corporate and fund administration services. He is also an experienced board member, serving on the boards of investment holding companies and general partners (GPs), with a strong focus on governance, strategic oversight, and regulatory compliance.

Dávid VÁRSZEGI

Partner, Director

David studied at New York University from 1999 until 2002, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business, complemented by a minor in politics. His academic path continued between 2003 and 2004 at the Harvard Extension School, from which he earned a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management, concentrating primarily on real estate and finance. In 2018, he further strengthened his executive capabilities by completing the Executive MBA program at the University of St. Gallen, one of Europe’s leading business schools.

He began his Master in International Finance (MIF) at HEC Paris in the fall of 2023 and graduated in 2025 with a Master’s degree in International Finance.

David has developed extensive and multifaceted experience in structuring cross‑border investments, particularly within real estate and private equity sectors. His professional background spans finance, business administration, and process management, where he has consistently focused on creating efficient operational frameworks and supporting complex international investment strategies.

Christian TAILLEUR

Director

Christian was born in Metz on 17 May 1967, where he lived until 1996, when he moved to establish his family in a village between Metz and Thionville, where he still lives today. Married since 1994, he is the father of 3 children, Mélanie 29, Florian 28 and Lisa 21. After obtaining a degree in economics in 1991, he began working in the banking sector in Luxembourg (October 1991), first at Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, then at Natexis. He then joined Insinger de Beaufort, an asset management company, in 2000, becoming Director in 2003. He left this company, which had meanwhile been acquired in December 2009, to launch TOTALSERVE Management (Luxembourg) S.A. (now Altum Luxembourg SA) on 1 January 2010, of which he has been Managing Director until 30 June 2024.

Rune WANGSMO

Head of Family Office

Rune has more than 25 years of international experience in the finance industry. He studied Economics and Finance at the Universität zu Köln in Cologne, Germany, where he received the title Diplom-Volkswirt. He is also a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), and he also attended journalist education at Institutt for Journalistikék, in Norway.

From 2014 he has introduced wealth management solutions and investment opportunities to wealthy individuals, investment companies and institutional investors. From 2006 to 2014, Rune acted as Head of Communications and Marketing at Nordea Private Banking International in Luxembourg.
